Today's earthquack was....interesting

No damage reported, but it was sure another reminder.

very noticable and lasted for a while--could have been a bit exciting if near the top of a tall building.

We didn't feel a thing here at the Central Coast (at least I didn't), but my little girl is in San Diego visiting SeaWorld for a few days and said that they got a good shake in their hotel there.

Be glad when she's back...

Regards,

Norm

never been through an earthquack before, been through a quite a few earthquakes tho. :p
Most quakes are just shakers with no real damage...but every now and then watch out. The scary part is you don't know till it's over.
Most people just after it's over try to guess magnitude and direction :D we've gotten pretty good at it too. Our local newspaper always prints a map of the local quakes every week.

It must a been a pretty big duck to cause an earthQUACK of that magnitude!

:p

Feel free to throw rotten fruit!

No; average Duck, but big honk- and lots of khuks. He claims to have Durba imprisoned in the basement under his home with the one eyed dancing girl keeping both of them healthy.

I will likely die a lousy typist.

Appearances aside, I do know how to spell many words and own and use a dictionary.

Proof-reading, no excuse I guess.

the DUCK?!? a-paddle in the bilge that runs under the Cantina? Say it ain;t so!

I'll take midwest tornadoes over earth-rides, thanks;) I did feel it in the 80's when the New Madrid did a little dance that shook our house outside of indy...

Somehow I have never experienced an earthquake. I have been present during about 5+ throughout my life time (17 years). Only one do I know I was awake for and I still didn't feel it. of course I didn't notice a transformer exploding across the street from my house in the middle of the night either.
The benefit of tornados is that you have cellers to hide in (at least they do in all the movies). Earthquakes just take you for a ride whereever you are.

Firkin...I just couldn't help myself.

I've done my share of typos. Every now and then I'll read something I've posted and think "where was my brain when I typed that".

How'd you like to live in a spot that has earthquakes AND tornadoes!
