We decided to drive down to Morris again to hike on the I & M Pathway, but this time went the opposite direction from the last time we were there. The trail runs for over 60 miles, so there is a lot we have not been on yet. This trail runs parallel to the old I & M canal through a lot of the towns west of us.

Some pics from the trail.

I`m also a sucker for old, abandoned buildings, so when I saw this over the trees, I had to take a pic. Next time we go there we are going to drive around to find it and see what it might have been.

Wow, what beautiful scenery! That abandoned building looks really neat. I'm interested to find out what it was.

As often as I've been to Morris I never realized there was good walking nearby.
Very cool, thanks John.

Looks like a great place to stroll. I live only about ten minutes from the Erie canal that rund from Albany to Buffalo and there are lots of stretches I haven't visited. Now I'm inspired! I really love the stonework. They just don't make things like they used to, for better or for worse. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Next time you are there let me know. It`s only a 30 minute drive from me.
I will, I'll be parked at "R" place if it is still there. I'll buy the beer.

If there is beer involved I can make it in 20 minutes! I go there all the time, but take Rte 6, not I-80, so I don`t know if "R" is still there or not.

The countryside near you reminds me so much of England, looks like another great hike John ! Did the dogs not go ?
