Looks like a great trip with your son. Even though my favorite season is winter, I really do love this time of year for short hikes or day trips. Hopefully I can get my nephew out there with me this year.
 
Paddling the sky! in a lot of these photos on still water. Terrific for the two of you. Your young lad looks like he can put a lunch together when he is hungry from paddling and I do trust you got half in spite of the mischief in his eyes. What does the sign say, may I ask?
 
Taldesta, the sign is for a picknick spot along the canoeroute and a place where you can put the canoe in the water.

Very nice, still ice in the mountains where our Mad River is. Sea ice has just gone so the kayak can be used again :D
