There was a flea market 2 towns away, and I was able to find a few nice pieces.

The top boy's axe and the single axe head are yet to be identified, I'm going to clean them up a bit tonight. The carpenter hatchet is a Plumb, standard fare but I love those and aside from the rust/paint it is in really great shape. Tight original handle and no metal missing. The vice was a nice find, I like to restore those too. It is a 3.5" Parker Vice, Meredith Conn. I paid $5, I'm happy with that. It's not a blade though, so...

The two that I really like are the second axe down and the Collins camp axe. The small axe says Mann Edge Tool Co, Lewiston, PA. It is a hatchet sized head but is 24" overall in length. The handle is also slimmer than most hatchets. I really like it and am going to template it.

The Collins camp hatchet is also standard, except for the condition. The handle is so-so, but the head had almost no rust and a full beautiful patina. I normally clean these but I'm not going to touch this one. Also, the poll is near perfect, so square. It's the best example of this model that I have found. I don't want to mess with it. I've had great lucky finds for the last 3 days in a row. My wife is goiing me the look as things are piling up! I have to decide which couple to keep and move the rest. I hate to see them go but I don't want to become a hoarder lol.

Yes, good call on that 24 inch handle. Someone needs to be making those today - and that one looks a great pattern.

"Hey, you do not have a blade, you can't just expose yourself all over Bladeforums!"

"You can't stop me! You don't want me to have my moment of glory!"

Sorry guys I can't control her.

AWESOME score on the vise, and great resto work. Did you e-tank it or something else?

No, I'm selling it so not putting an extreme effort in. I'm on the lookout for a keeper and that one I will restore like new, including paint, if I can.

This was: steel wire cup brush on a 3000rpm drill, scrub in the sink with Simple Green, rub with steel wool, coat with WD40 overnight, wire wheel it again, wipe down thoroughly to remove all metal dust, hand rub/coat with new gear oil, wipe down again. It's perfectly usable if someone wants to put it to work as-is, or prepped for a full and serious restore if they want to do that. I's small enough ($20 shipping) that I put it on Ebay. Bigger ones just are not worth it.
