Is anybody familiar with Todd Begg knives? They look like well finished knives with some cool designs.I want some real world input on them like are they tough? Do they hold an edge well? Has anyone actually put one to some real testing?

I have this one. Fit and finish is great. Opens and closes like a bank vault. Not sure on edge retention as I only use it as a barbecue knife. Since I discovered my Shiro's I pretty much only carry them now.

A fellow collector here in SA had the original Bodega and Field Grade. He used them all and never had an issue.

They are not “hard use” knives but can handle hard cutting tasks. They are well made knives.

Make no mistake. Todd Begg has been around for some time within the knife world.

If you want a knife actually made by Todd Begg, be prepared to pay a LOT of money. The steelcraft are his midtech line made by a manufacturer in China who do a great job.

Actually the Steelcraft stuff is his production line. Signified by the rectangle around the TB logo. Made by Reate in China.
The midtech is what is often misconstrued as custom. Those have the TB logo with a circle, and says "design", and are USA made in the California.
The true customs actually say "Todd Begg" instead of just his initials. And yes those are ridiculously expensive

There is a sweet one on eBay right now for about $2 million right now if you hurry. Dude might do $1.9 million if you play your cards right.
