Ok folks, I can't hold it in. I finally got the guts to place an order with todd. Here's what I ordered:

Green micarta scales and blade shape like #282
D2 single blade and spring: D2 will be 1/8th inch...a freaking HOSS of a blade
mosaic pins and filework like #208
approx. 4" closed

I have a serious love for D2 pocket knives and am looking forward to this purchase. I plan to have it be my EDC from now til death....:)

Whatcha think?

Best,
Brett

I'm sure you'll be happy with it. T.A. is a slip makin machine! His work is top notch and he is always looking at making "the next one" even better. Congrats on your step of faith.

Todd will NOT disappoint you, he is a man of his word and does great work.
I have trusted him in the past and will do so in the future.

I have taken the plunge. It should be ready just in time for my birthday, the 21st of Oct. What a great gift.

Thanks all!

Brett

I have taken the plunge.

He's in big trouble now, custom knife on order. :D

Will he stop at just one?

Only time will tell.

Thanks! Brett

I know you are going to love the knife.

knife maker

Todd is a good guy to work with and his work is still a bargain. I've been trying to scoop-up as many custom knives as I can from makers of the same price range. That said, I have 3 on order now with Ken Erickson and will get another from Todd when the time is right.

Something tells me this is just the first of many. :)

That said, i would rather spend my hard-earned money on several awesome customs than a bunch of productions.

Thanks Todd for the great customer service.

Brett

Congrats bdws. You can't go wrong with a TAD knife. I picked up #276 and it's been in rotation ever since.

Mike

Thanks! I can't wait to get it.

I will post pics as soon as I have it in my hands.

Brett

Great Choice. I have one of Todd's knives on the way. He is great maker to work with. I was very surprised at how quickly he was able to finish my knife. I haven't even gotten it and I am already thinking about the next one.

what did you order? Specs?

Take care,

Very nice man! I believe I am 309! He is really speedy and very professional.

Can't wait to get it.

Are you going to EDC yours?

Take care man,
Brett

The 309 is really nice:thumbup:

I am definitely going to carry this one very, very often. A knife this nice must be carried and used!

LOL! I don't think the 309 has been created yet. My understanding is that the numbers are serial numbers. The 305 in the picture, according to my understanding, is YOUR knife.
He is working on 307,308, then mine is up.

Anyway, I plan on using my TAD each and every day. A knife that nice MUST be used.

Take care man,
Brett

I kinda suggested the design of 299 and intended it as an EDC, but now I don't have the heart to scratch it.

I love my Stag Warnnie though.

Gosh!! I love that stag wharnie!

I really am excited about this knife. Moreso than any other.

Thanks for sharing. Was I right about the numbering thing?

Thanks,
Brett

I thought it was the one pictured above the 305!

Those are very nice! I'd be afraid of scratching them also, Lukily I have a few of those AG Russell knife pouches. Ive used them to carry my Case/Bose collabs and they have worked out very nicely.
