RJD posted a thread (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=399339) a couple months ago that I really enjoyed. I thought I would offer my two favorites in reply, but I wanted to wait because I still had a couple knives coming and wanted to include them.

This is that reply.

After Jerry's stuff, my interests are currently very focused on Tom Krein's lineup (http://www.kreinknives.net/kk_products.htm). I think his work is exceptionally clean and well made. His patterns are reminiscent of Dozier (where he got his start in the business) and the blades are unbelievably sharp. He mostly works with D2, although some A2, 3V and S30V find their ways into his hands occasionally.

Here is a picture of my Krein blades, with appropriate counterparts from my Busse collection. The TK-1 shoud really be paired with an AS, but I traded mine away for a PR...

Outstanding collection! Thanks for the pics. You can't go wrong with those two outstanding makers - two of my favorites, as well. I rarely go anywhere without a Busse or a Krein, or often both. Tom's also doing a few in laminated ZDP - I have one on order (not to mention the Krein 3V and Infi ST-56 I'm patiently waiting for!).

Well, it looks like I will have to put on a little "Tom and Jerry" show also, I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them.

:D

Anyone else, besides me, expect to find a cartoon thread? :D

Those are beautiful knives. Thanks for sharing them. Now I must wipe up some drool. :D

Very nice. I remember seeing that Walkabout for sale somewhere and thinking "I should buy that". In the time it took for me to make up my mind....

I was waiting for that pic as promised, Porkducci - and it was worth the wait - a very nice selection there!
