Tom Anderson?

I just recently got my first Anderson folder from Larry at Blade Art. Fit and finish are excellent. Action is as smooth as you can find. You won't be disappointed.

Quality folders (fixed blades too) from a quality guy. Nuff said

One more note: He is one of the VERY few makers that uses a double detent in his liner locks. You can actually feel two distinct clicks. Nice stuff.

Question for you guys. I handled one of Tom's knives at a show last year and was well made. The thing that caught my eye was that the liner lock seemed thin and short. Have you had any problems with this?

None at all. Several makers use this kind of inlaid lock. Mine locks up very securely. Anderson makes a great knife. [ As a Viele protoge, he should. ]

If you are asking about ANDERSON TECH knives I have had one for a few years now. It is a fine knife. I think that the lock being shorter gives it better mechanical advantage being that the angle it engages the blade is steeper than that of a longer lock. It really sticks in place and there is no movement. It locks up solid every time! I was initially thinking that the screws that hold the locking bar would be the week link. They are really short and I thought that they would not stay tight but they have. There can not be that many threads actually holding these screws in place.
I have had post knife sales dealings with this maker and I can say his customer service is equal to the best that I have encountered. It is one thing to get a great knife but another thing all together to have it backed by a good person who knows how to treat a customer.
