I just bought a knife at the gun show here in Phoenix today made by Tom Barminski of Loveland, Colorado. Is anyone familiar with this maker and his work? The knife is a mirror polished, hollow ground, 4 1/2 inch drop point hunter of D2 with stabilized curly maple scales. The paperwork that came with the knife says it was hardened to Rc61. Any info on Tom Barminski would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Marion, you are right about the designs being way out there. The blade is a typical drop point but the handle is a little unordinary. It feels good in the hand though. The craftmanship is as good as I've seen though. It cuts real good. I had some 3/4 inch rope out in the garage. After 100 push cuts (I about ran out of rope.) the edge still shaved cleanly. I guess D2 at Rc61 will hold an edge pretty good. I hope it's not too brittle.
