I was wondering the advantages of the mini tracker other than the weight
if there are any. thanks for any replies!

Skater, I think the answer to your question is going to be dependent on personal preference. From what I've read, some people really like the general WSK knife design, but have found the full-sized WSK knife a bit large for finer work, and cumbersome to wear on the belt all day. Enter the scaled-down version of single blade multitool. The 3/4 version handles more like a sheath knife most people may be accustomed to working with, yet it retains the features of the full-sized tool. I can imagine the smaller version can do some things better than the larger version, and vice versa.

In my testing, I found the smaller model more useful on a day to day basis. But I think it will come down to personal choice.

Terrill,

Do you have a picture of one of the smaller ones in the hand? I have never seen the 2 models together or the smaller one near anything that would give me any scale.

I'm sorry...that is a FUGLY knife, and tops usually balances form w/function albiet at a price. If I were to spend $250 on a survival tool It would at least be a 22LR. You can pick up a quality, reliable .22 auto pistol for under $300. plus, think of the a Ruger MKIII on the hip with an extra 50 rounds in a BOB. Spend the $$$ on a firearm

Yeah the 22LR is nice, but how would you sharpen it? "How much to sharpen this up?" "Well, before we talk price, you understand that in order to bring an edge to this tubular blade, I'll be ruining your bluing job, now don;t you?"

I think that knife is beautiful in all its ugliness. It's as soft as a thigh despite its hardened temper. It's not too long and not too short. The forward end looks as blunt as a sharp knife can be. And the price! Well, it's as cheap as you'd expect an over-priced cutlass to be!:D
