Hello all, I just had a quick question about the standard course. I will be flying to New Jersey in a week to take the Standard course at Tom Brown's tracker school. I was wondering if any of you had tips or suggestions for me.

What equipment would be helpful? What type of clothing is a smart choice? What is the teaching style at this course so as to better prepare myself?

I don't really know what to expect from the class so ANY info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Take both warm and cool weather clothes. Take a padded seat and try to get to lectures early and bring a notebook, taperecorder, and a good knife.

Big affirmative on the padded seat; Be comfortable, but not too much..... by the end of the first day, you'll feel like it's been a week and by the end of the week you won't want to leave. And write down everything even if it seems like something you'd obviously remember. There is an overwhelming amount of information that will be coming your way, and that notebook will be worth its weight in gold. Hope that helps.

Thanks, it sounds like everyone agrees that taking notes on EVERYTHING is super important. I will also look into the padded seat thing.
