My late father, Tom Du Jardin, was a fan of straight razor shaving and I know he participated in some in-person get togethers with fellow straight razor enthusiasts. Did anyone on this forum know him?
 
You should probably try this question at Badger & Blade and Straight Razor Place (or rather, Straight Razor Palace now, IIRC). There are a few other sites but those are the larger ones I'm aware of. I did not know your father, (unless it's by another screen name) but my condolences on your loss.
