This topic was posted by me in the review forum, but I didn't get any response. Since not everybody checks each forum, I reposted it here.
Does anybody have or handled a knife made by Tom Johanning? He makes integral knives from A8 (the older ones were A6). His ads have the picture where the knife is sticking in a steel plate, so they must be tough. My concern is the handle ergonomics. The pommel on his knives are rectangular an have the same size as the hilt. To me it seems that would make the handle uncomfortable.
Besides that I would like to get any information on the A8 steel he uses. I don't know of any maker using that kind of steel.
Any respond is appreciated.
