Sure is fun to get home from work, open the old mailbox and find a box with "Tom Krein" on the return address.
This is certainly not my first Tom Krein knife, but it is my first TK1, and I am liking it alot. What a great size to carry almost anywhere, and what a sweet little cutter. It's a small knife at about 5 & 3/8th" overall length, but the handle and blade design provide a lot of utility potential for a knife this size. Very comfortable in the pocket, or as a necker.
This one is dark grey/green textured G10 with red liners and D2. I asked Tom to make me a foldover pocket sheath in addition to the standard sheath. The little foldover sheath is sure easy to draw and replace, and I will likely hook it up to a tether for jeans front-right-pocket carry.
The whistle knife lanyard was made by our own "bully" moderator
, Eric Isaacson.
I'm a happy camper with this little knife. Hope you guys enjoy a couple of photos of my 1st TK1.
I've got a sambar stag TK2 in near earth orbit which will be touching down soon, and pics will follow.
