Mr. Tom Krein reground my small Classic Sebenza and it is hard to believe how much sharper it is. It slices thru Cigarette paper like it's not there. This is the sharpest knife I own and Tom said I should be able to maintain easliy on my Spyderco sharpmaker. Steve in Minnesota had a post a while back about his reground Sebenza so this made me decide to do it , also. It shaves hair like a razor and I think I could shave with it. Now I will have to round the other knives I want reground. Give Tom a call as this man works magic on knives. Sorry no pictures as I am not that computer literate. Thanks Tom.

Hey all. Tom did a zero edge on my HD-7. You have to see it to believe it. I'll try to post some pics soon. Tom is a grind artist.

why do you start these posts when you have no pictures to show? :D

yes we would like to see them.....

Tom's grinds and edges are really impressive. They make the knife like a whole new cutting tool. The amazing thing about how sharp he gets a knife is that he uses a 120 grit belt to get the edge that sharp, and on top of easily tree topping arm hair the knives slice really aggressively.

My camera won't work!! My wife is bringing one from school tonight. We'll try as soon as we can to post some pics. My apologies.

Glad you like it.

I actually started carrying mine at work this week. Decided it was a little more civilized that my Spydie Para Military.

It is just insane how well mine cuts now. I've been using it in the kitchen a little too. Cuts through cherry tomatoes and olives like they aren't even there.

Good stuff!

I thought I was nuts too....until Tom called me within a couple of hours of me sending him an e-mail. Very nice guy!

I was not satisfied with the way the knife cut prior to Tom's work. It cut "ok" but didn't cut like I thought a $350 knife could/should cut. It is now a seriously wicked-sharp knife that still has the fit and function of a Sebenza.

Now I just need to figure out how to re-tie the darned lanyard and I would be completely satisfied. I've been trying the instructions from CRK site....I must be a complete dummy. :o

Steve, I am in complete agreement with you. I thought my small classic sebenza should cut better. My older Sebenzas cut much better. I think Chris is doing a different edge...not sure. After Tom Krein's magic touch it is better than I could have hoped for. By the way, Tom was prompt on answering my emails and called me to tell me he had shipped my knife. Also, two weeks from time I sent the knife to when I got it back. Excellent service and a good man to deal with.
