I've searched back a ways and haven't found a Show Us Your Tom Mayo thread, so please do just that as well as sharing your thoughts and comments on these fantastic knives.
I would be delighted if we could share our passion for Tom Mayo knives here with pictures, news and information about models or materials.
So let‘s Start with my latest acquisition.
In addition to Shirogorov and Chris Reeve from the production category, I've also focussed on Tom Mayo alongside Scott Cook and Michael Raymond because of the quality, feel and look. I must clearly state that my favourites are the ‘Dr Death’ and the Covert Version of the Dr. Death, called Covert Black Ops.
In addition to the original Dr Death with thumb pin (9.5 inch), there is also the Dr Death Junior (8.75 inch), always as a flipper variant.
Both are available in a wide variety of versions in terms of the number, size and position of the speedholes or the materials (Damascus blades, titanium or CarboTi scales) or inlays (mosaic pins or 45 Auto).
Here is my new Dr Death Jr. with Federal 45 Auto inlay and MOA speedholes (Minute of Angle) and with bead blasted scales. As a result, the matting is very fine and slightly lighter and affects all knives from approx. 2020 according to my research.
