It is true. Tom has posted nearly 2,000 times (I know it seems more like 4,000). In general, his posts have about as much information in them (IMHO) as a freshly formatted hard drive.
Take, for example, these three pithy posts all made on one thread, the Stellite 6K thread on Knife Reviews and testing:
To paraphrase the late Winston Churchill, 'never have so many learned so little from so many posts by one person.'
Therefore, I propose we have a contest, and you can vote for one of these punish...er, ah I mean, REWARDS for so many posts:
One; Tom be sent to Wyoming, so he can be removed from the ocean which is so obviously affecting his mentation. He may wish to stay with Rob Simonich to learn knife making.
Two; that Tom's drill index be taken away from him so that he can no longer disfigure his knives with off center holes.
Three; that he get a new milling machine so that he can mill straight lines in Ti for knife scales. At least that is the reason he gave me for not being able to do that; it may have another reason (skill???).
Four; that the censorship program be altered so as to eliminate randomly three out of four words of Tom's posts; this would not only save bandwidth, but retain the meaning of the post.
Five; that he be forbidden to make any more folders that look like swiss cheese. Inspection of Tom's knives to be done by Jerry Hossom.
Send in your votes, and let us see some action on this topic!
Seriously, Tom and I are good friends, and I have purchased several of his knives, but he did seem a little too pleased at posting so many times. So, I couldn't help ribbing him.
Have fun, Walt :
