I'm about halfway into "Runnin Down a Dream: Tom Petty," Peter Bogdanovich's FOUR HOUR documentary on Tom Petty. Excellent movie! It's on the Sundance Channel right now; don't know if/when it will be on again, but you can probably rent it too. If you're a Tom Petty fan, I would highly recommend it.

I'm a big fan of Tom Petty's music, so I'll definitely keep my eyes open at the video rental store.

Thanks.

A friend won free tickets on the radio recently, and he and his wife reported it was excellent. I was also told there's a very entertaining scene involving a knife in a business meeting. Haven't watched it yet myself, but it's on the list.

Petty describes how, during a tense negotiation session with the top record company brass, he pulled out his pocket knife and started cleaning his fingernails, just out of boredom. They all thought he was a dangerous, unhinged lunatic. Pretty funny.

I checked last night - Amazon has it (search 'Tom Petty').

A damned good movie even for non-fans. If you're a fan, then it's a must-see. Even I didn't fully appreciate how much incredibly good music this guy has made in the last 30+ years.
