I've always been a fan of the Buck 112 folding knife and have carried one many years. Recently came across a Chinese made clone Tomahawk brand knife very cheap ($6.+$6.shipping). Bought it just out of curiousity, not expecting much in terms of quality.
BUt must say I am pleasently surprized. Fit & finish isn't as good as Buck, but close. Knife came sharp out of box. And with a few swipes on the ceramic rods became razor sharp. But would it HOLD an edge?
Again I am pleasently surprized that it has. I carried it for week at work, instead of my usual Buck. Where the primary use is as a box knife. Cutting shrink wrap off pallets etc., which dulls even the Buck pretty quickly. After a week of such use, it still shaves. For a Chinese knife, IMO a great value.
