Hi I’m new to tomahawk throwing, have a couple of CS hawks. Have been doing some mods to them but was wondering what the preferred bevel was for throwing or should I go with a flat grind?

Most CS hawks are heavy enough that just sharpening the factory edge will get it to stick. The little Trail Hawk needed more sharpening than the others to get as sticky, but mostly the CS hawks I've dealt with worked fine without getting a new bevel. Throwing is rough on edges, particularly when you miss and hit the one damn rock in a 20 foot radius, so a refined edge is a lot of work for not a lot of payoff. If it's not a dedicated thrower, I might put more effort into the edge at a standard 20 degrees, smoothing the cheeks, and taking out some thickness. It's all just my personal preferences, we all have our own secret recipe for happiness.
