Tomahawk grind?

Whats the best grind to have on a tomahawk? I recently bought one that has a semi convex. I went ahead and put a full convex on it but was curious if that was the best. I have a smith pocket sharpener in my backpack and was curious if I needed to scandi it for resharpening ease. Opinions?

I'd say if you're primarily using it for tough chopping Bush Craft tasks, the tougher convex grind should hold up better.

......but on a tactical T-Hawk which may only be used as a backup defensive weapon in the home or elsewhere, the scandi grind with a finer (but less durable) edge makes more sense.

Flesh and bone separate a lot easier than hardwood, and hopefully we'll never be put in that position to validate your grind choice. :(
