Hey guys! Just wanted to show off my newest modification on the Cold Steel Trail Hawk I done for a local soldier being transferred to another unit. I wanted something a little different than the regular designs I usually do on the hawks so I started researching some older period pieces and tried to incorporate some of the woodwork a long with the filing of the head. I think it turned out pretty cool! This was super fun to make but took me forever! I used my dremel 3000 for all the big and small stippling work you see. I also filed the head and brought the spine of it to a mirror polish. After that I threw a few different stains on it and finished it up with some Semi-Gloss urethane! The only thing I wish I wouldn't have done is add the huge turkey feathers. I had some smaller ones but I needed to get rid of the big ones lol. But all in all I think it turned out pretty cool :) Below is a short youtube video pics.

Fancy indeed. Bit of a piece of artwork right there.

There's only one problem with it. That's a frontier hawk, not a trail hawk.

Really well done quality wise, but aesthetically, for my tastes anyway it's too much.

Thanks man! I can relate to what you are saying, I just get tired of the same old mods we are used to seeing. I just want something that looks different lol
