Hey guys! Just wanted to show off my newest modification on the Cold Steel Trail Hawk I done for a local soldier being transferred to another unit. I wanted something a little different than the regular designs I usually do on the hawks so I started researching some older period pieces and tried to incorporate some of the woodwork a long with the filing of the head. I think it turned out pretty cool! This was super fun to make but took me forever! I used my dremel 3000 for all the big and small stippling work you see. I also filed the head and brought the spine of it to a mirror polish. After that I threw a few different stains on it and finished it up with some Semi-Gloss urethane! The only thing I wish I wouldn't have done is add the huge turkey feathers. I had some smaller ones but I needed to get rid of the big ones lol. But all in all I think it turned out pretty cool
Below is a short youtube video pics.
