Howdy! I am currently writing a book on tomahawks from traditional to tactical. I need hi res pics of modern tacticals like ATC, RMJ and any others that are out there. I will also consider any other tomahawk pics - antique or modern. The pics must be 300dpi or close, preferably photographed on a white or pale background. Any info on the product would be appreciated. If I use the picture I will credit the sender in the book and they will get a first edition as soon as they come out.

Thanks!

Dave,

I'd start by going to the web sites of the manufacturers that you're interested in. For tacticals, I'd put K5 Tactical hawks on my list too. If you explain your use for these photo's, I think that most would agree to release them for the purpose of the book. Make sure you keep that release in writing. There are such a broad spectrum of hawk manufacturers now, I'm sure you could get everything from traditionals to contemporaries, and by using their photo's, they'd be ensured their products were well represented. I have a few traditional pictures with Native Americans bearing tomahawks, but I have no idea if you'd be infringing some copyright law by using them. Email me if you want an example. I do own the use rights to my avatar, she is holding a tomahawk, and I would love to see her in a book, so if you want the fullsize image of Shewolf, let me know that too. :D

I contacted ATC, haven't heard back. Eddie at K5 is helping out, I ordered a spike hawk as soon as TK came out with it on the cover. I hope more companies participate - it will be great for business as well as posterity. Suzanne at BM has graciously offered her help, as have a number of my favorite custom makers. It sure warms the heart!

Send me any examples - i will consider them, but no promises. I would like the book to be well rounded, so lots will get in. As far as your lovely Avatar, I will ask my wife what she thinks! Yeah right.....
