tomahawk question..

well i have come down with hawk fever again,bought a cold steel and fixed it all up,burnt handle,leather wrap,burned bear paws in the wood,friend had a fit over it and had to have it,it was twenty five bucks two or three years ago,well i bought a kabar 1248 cutlass to use as a chopper,two big a blade for me,like tomahawks,,gonna sell it i guess,but what would be the next step on the ladder from a cold steel.quality and price.want to fix me up a keeper.
