So I have the CRKT Kangee, and I absolutely love it. The problem is, I just don't have a proper target. Currently I am using a tire filled with firewood, but that does not work so well. I am not able to(nor have the time) find, cut, and age a nice piece of wood for a target. Are there any other alternatives that would work as a target?

You could make a target "board" from 2x8's and 2x4's. Similar to what this forum member built for knife throwing target.

I thought about this already, but I was not sure how well the 2 x 4's would hold up.
Stack a bundle of 1 foot lengths of 2X4 (or 4X4 or whatever you have on hand) until you have a target area big enough to suit you. Secure and tighten the bundle with a ratcheting cargo strap or two set to one side of the pile (so that one side becomes the "back" and there's less risk of cutting your straps with a bad throw. You've now made a portable "round" and you can replace individual boards as they wear out.
edit: I don't know if I made it clear but the target face will be the end-grain side of the bundle.

As Alocksly says something with exposed end grain wood is ideally what you want. How about bugging a few fence and deck contractors for their 6x6 ends (or even 4x4s), cut them to a standard length and then use PL Premium to glue them all together. If the wood is pressure-treated (ideally you'd like to get plain fir or cedar) don't leave a blade stuck in there for long periods because the chemicals are corrosive and will likely stain the metal.
