Tomahawks for the military

I am a newbie on the forum, but am reading with interest, all the posts. I think the tomahawk would go a LONG way as a companion to the e-tool, and knife for the infantryman. (specifically for the airborne, Rangers, and SF Groups). It is really versatile and could be used for a ton of things. Too bad Gen Shinseki is spending millions to give all the Army, a black beret..Think of all the tomahawks that the Army could purchase.

Thanks so much for your e-mail, post here on the Forums, and service to our country!!!

Your thinking on making the Tomahawk an issue item was foremost in Peter LaGana's mind in the 60's. He visited the Pentagon five times re: the famous Vietnam Tomahawk, for that very reason. With the war ending in 1970, it never came to pass.

When the Peter LaGana Virtual Museum is uploaded to our site, copies of Dept. of the Army, as well as U.S.M.C. correspondence and pictures will be there for everyone's review.

well...guess I pulled a Murphy...trying to post a reply, but coming up blank..
anyway, my hat's off to Andy for the upcoming release of the Tomahawks. I am quite sure that the quality of the product will match the quality of customer service I have received from Andy. I cannot wait...and maybe the present administration will equip the military with the basic stuff needed...rather than providing more techno toys.

SOLDIER: "Murph, what can I do, man...it's cold and I'm freezin'..and I'm afraid if I go to sleep..I'll never wake up..whatta I do?"
MURPHY: "Take my watch."

First time posting on this site and I must say, I too am waiting for re-issue of the Viet-Nam Hawk. Good deal.
Had a good buddy of mine carry a hawk he bought at a black powder firearms store here in town during the aborted Airborne invasion of Haiti. He felt it would serve him well if all went down the crapper and things got alittle tight. Hawk vs. Machete type thing. Anyway we got turned around mid-flight and his hawk went away unbloodied.
Well I'm in line for the Nam' Hawk so maybe in the future... And yes I know I before R and all that.
