I know I have been singing the praises of Paul Long (sheathmaker on the forums) a lot lately but I can't help myself for a couple of reason. His skill of course, his quick turn around time added to the fact that he lives so close to me that mail to and fro only takes one day, and lastly the fact that I am no longer a big city dweller and have retired to a small town and taken to wearing a fixed blade all the time.

Anyway here is the latest one from Paul. The inlay is black alligator. The knife is a PJ Tomes I have had for 4 or 5 years that PJ said he made 8 or 10 years ago. I had told Paul I wanted something special for this one and he delivered.

Excellent pairing. Paul Long seems to be a true artist. I've pretty much been blown away buy ever pic of his work you've posted. This one is no exception. Beautiful.

Sweet combo Thomason! Does Paul Long have a website? I checked his profile, and it is not listed if it exists. I'm curious about his prices... please email or PM me if you have details.

Very nice combo. I'd be interested in seeing more of his work as well. Of course, then I would have to start buying fixed blades.

Wow, I'm not usually a sheath guy, but *that's* a beautiful combo!

PJ Tomes makes a great knife, and that sheath (the curve of the black leather at the opening and how it blends with the rest of the sheath) is way above the bar...
