They arrived today! Nicely packaged, with a instruction/maintenance sheet included, nice touch I thought.

Before the pics, I just wanna say....HOMERUN Tommy! I am not the biggest 11 fan, mainly because of the handle, I prefer the 14 and that's what I EDC...Buuuuuut that may change! These grips are awesome, changes the 11 ''In-Hand'' completely! It went from ''barely useable'' to ''extremely comfortable'' in the ~minute it took me to install Tommy's Tween11 scales!

Some gorgeous Cocobolo wood, and nicely fitted, as good F&F as my factory zytel on the 14....actually IMO maybe a hair better.

I have been asked how the routed edges would feel...They are Nice! adds some ''grip'' to them without being uncomfortable at all. And it looks like a million dollars.

It's fixin to get pic heavy up in heah lol

One element I've never seen pointed out about Tommy's grips...

They have PERFECTLY fitted wooden pegs on the inside that fit like a kid-glove into the 11's handle holes! great touch Tommy.

Now a comparison with the zyteled 14

As you can see the Tommy grips are slightly thicker then the zytel...fills my hand perfectly!

And for all you thirsty folks out there...

Yes the bottle-opener still works! (I know that's not a beer..it's a dry county, deal with it)

The only ''drawback'' to the Tween11 grips is they wont fit in a factory (rattling, edge-dulling) sheath

Luckily I know a guy...

In conclusion...If u have an 11....and you want to optimize it, get hold of Tommy and get you a set of these! They're that good. TommyTheWho is his BFC name, and wood scales are his game. ;)

Now, I'm gonna go enjoy 2 American classics...

P.S.
I'm not a classy guy...but these are some Classy scales...they would look right at home in the pocket of the most distinguished gentleman!

Nice post, if I had a BK11, I would get a set of those scales. They look excellent!

Do you know if he makes BK14 scales?

Those are great! looks like it really opens up the handle...

by the way, your "American" classic is a Mexican Coke hombre ;)

Great post and pics! Tommy's handles really are awesome!

I put a set of scales from Tommy on a BK11 that I gave to my son:

Tommy will also include liners with the handles...I got red for the ones above. The handles are everything Thrill said they are and more...Tommy is awesome to deal with and got the handles out to me very quickly.

Looks good Thrill. Are they sealed up with poly or some type of oil?
they are finished in Tung Oil

CocaCola is as American as Apple Pie. I dont care where it was made...only damn bottle I found in town with a cap LOL, besides, the mex Coke is still made with real sugar.

I love the new cocobolo, Thrill. :thumbup:It looks like it came off the same tree my tweener scales were made from.

Since you're doing a review of yours, I may as well show off my new scales, too. They arrived a couple of days ago and I've been happily carrying my Necker for the first time since I got it. The main thing that turned me off the Necker was its tiny grip, and when compared to the Eskabar, the 11 just didn't do it for me as much. Now, though, the handle feels great--easy to grab and pull from the sheath. I've been using the crap out of it at work. I'll be using the 11 a lot more these days, I guarantee.

I got mine in Ipe wood, although now I wish I'd ordered it in cocobolo to match my 16. Still, the Ipe on my Cliched 11 looks good and is nicely set off by the red liners.

My scales are styled a bit different than Thrill's, and will fit in the factory sheath.

Although it's been riding in style with my AZWelke kydex.

Now the Eskabar and Necker grip is about the same length, making the Necker more useful, IMO. Excellent.

Wonderfully done, Tommy. I love these grips. I even opened a bottle of Mexican soda today to celebrate.

Looks good Dan!

I may need to order some liners, I like the colors, but I dunno...mine feels perfect...liners may make it too thick.

Just wanted to add, I been handling it all afternoon...and the wood keeps looking better and better as my hand oils darken it....the figure in the cocobolo is Popping!

They only get as thick as I make them
