Tomorrow is 3/05

It's time to finally give the elk CSC 505 a break, and tomorrow is 3/05 so I decided I'd carry a different 305 lancer every day this week.

I'll be kicking it off with my favorite 305, the 1989 in stag.
That 305 stag you've got is one of my fav knives anyone posts on the board. Probably the classiest watchpocket knife out there with that stag and the flat grind blades.

This was my grandpa's 305. He was a pastor his whole life and only carried tiny little knives. The shield was gone long before I inherited it. I'd like to find one someday, so I can make it "whole" again.

Because today is 3/05 I had to go with my bog standard black 305.

This was actually my 2nd 305, but it's the one that convinced me and was one of my absolute most carried knives at one point.
my 1st was a Camillus made 305, and I just don't like the Camillus examples.
I love the blade grind and the long nail pull, but the swedge just throws a wrench into the gears.

I'm still figuring out the new photo situation, but I have a brown bone 305 in my pocket.

That would be a miracle.
I probably wouldn't be a buyer though because most likely it would be in one of those " super steels " they seem to use on every special release they do these days ,and that's just not what I want in a knife.
What about a 375 with G10 slabs and cerakote D2 blades?

Joking aside, I really like Buck's 2-blade pen knives, and wish they offered something smaller and more frequent than the occasional 301.

Edit: photo added.

I definitely agree about the blade grinds and the stag, I really love how the bark is almost scaled down for this little knife.
I felt like I won the lottery when I found it, and even though it was priced more than I had ever spent for a knife at that point I knew I couldn't let it go.

Btw I have another stag 305 that I bought just to pass along to a fellow Buck lover who's been looking for one.

It's a tiny knife, no doubt; and I figured it was a big manly hand thing...but the image didn't suggest to me a hand that couldn't manage the knife.

I would have to agree, but I do understand that a knife can just feel too small in hand which doesn't instill a lot of confidence.

I personally don't need a ton of grip on the 305 to tackle every kind of task I know it's capable of, I just happen to really enjoy carrying a small pocket knife though and I understand that they're not for everybody.
I watched my grandfather do a lot with a Victorinox classic and the 1st quality knife that I carried a ton was a Buck 425, so I guess it's just an appreciation I'll never loose.
