well it finally happened, i cut the inside of my left hand, its a smooth straight 1" long and (about) 0.040" deep cut... it happened in a close quarter combat with a hard apple LOL... however it was one of tom mayos talonite knives, they ARE SHARP... and talonite cuts flesh very good, it feels like the blade only touched my hand lightly... thanks tom

Don't feel to bad, recently picked up a Cold Steel Master Tanto and took it camping. Went to stick it back in the sheath in a candle lit tent. Well have you guessed the rest. Let's just say 9 stitches later I realized just how scary sharp this knife is.
I've collected knives for years now but this was my first knife over the $200.00 mark. And I can now justify why it cost that much.
It won't be used for camping again.
Be carefull out there.

isnt that the idea? well....one of the best stories I have is when I first started using 440V my friend Gene Fujioka was on Lanai cleaning a deer he had just shot....he was there with some friends from Kauai...none of whom had any sort of custom knife and consider a Buck folder sufficient for the job (they had no idea how to get them sharp after they were dull either!)...so the guy is watching Gene zipper thru this deer (with great amazement I might add) and he says, "Can I try that?"...being used to a dull factory folder...he pushes down hard and sliced thru the thumb on his other hand, to the bone...thru the tendon....exit post haste to the ER!!!! I have more stories like this..but you get the picture

Well, all I know is Tom makes Talonite sharper than a razor... of course, we all know Talonite does not work for knives...

Hehehe.

Several years ago I purchased the Rambo II
knife, now that was SCARY.

One night one of my friends had looked at it
and put in the sheath backwards.
I had to be the stupid one and didn't turn
the light on first.

OUCH!!!!

Missed the sheath and stabbed my palm just
under the thumb a good half inch or more.
No stitches.
I'm too manly for stitches.
Now i have this manly scar.
