I had the immense pleasure of meeting Toni at a get together after Blade in the wilds of Missouri. It was attended by Knifemakers and Artisans from all across America and Europe.

I was also able to see my Brother Erik Markman, after 4 years of not attending Blade, plus meet 3 other great Makers from The Netherlands, Jurgen Visser of ‘Wicked Fish’, Jan Ververs of ‘Nukknives’, and the incomparable and inimitable Gudy Van Popple.

Others were Fred Perrin and his lovely wife, Ed Schemp, Daryl Meier and his Mrs., Howard Clark, Dr. Grace Horne, Al Dippold, plus many other wonderful folks too numerous for me to remember and hosted by Hank Knickmeyer and his wonderful wife, Bonita.

As if things couldn’t get any better, Toni had just received his ABS JS Stamp in Atlanta, something he’d worked very hard for. Known for his Integral and Tactical/Survival knives, his abilities are boundless.

A complete and awesome surprise, since my Birthday was a few days out, Toni gifted me one of his flawless ABS Test Knives!!!!

It’s an extraordinary Hunter with a single-lugged guard, beautiful spalted Maple haft, and a ‘perfect’ hand-rubbed finish....I was blown away by his incredible kindness and comradery....that includes all of the Netherlands Gang and all the folks enjoying a great time.

This is the style Toni is known for and, yes, that’s my knife!!! I had no idea that this was the knife I acquired from him at Blade last year until he informed me....nice.

Toni’s knives always seem to have superb concepts and design thoughts behind them, to me. I got a chance to see and feel them firsthand last year at Blade Show, and his knives blew me away.

Great stuff, Dudley!

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy congratulations Dudley
