I decided to strip my CGFBM and Meaner tonight. Went to Devil mart and picked up some stripper, plastic scraper and a small paint brush, total was about $11. This is my first time at this and I have to say it was so easy so if you are on the fence about it just go for it. Make sure to have excellent ventilation and wear gloves and eye protection. I did this in my garage with the door open, it is 21 degree's here with wind and the stripper worked fine even though it said to use it in 60 or more degrees.
It only took 15 minutes to get the paint off, I used paper towels after I scraped the gunk off, by scrape I mean push because the paint slides right off. Once I got inside I just washed them both off with Dish wash soap and they are good to go.
Enjoy the pics.

I picked up a stripper at Devil Mart once too but it cost me more than $11 especially after the trip back there to the pharmacy! Just kidding! Really nice work man. Are you going to polish them up? DCBB would look great. They don't seem to be too dimpled up.

No polish here, these are users.
The CGFBM has no dimples at all and the spine is polished already, BONUS!
The meaner has some dimples near the logo, it gives the blade a lot of character.

Awesome man!

You lucked out, every blade i've stripped never was that easy. There was always bits of coating that wouldn't come off, no matter what i'd do. I LOVE the way the meaner looks with the dimples, I wouldn't change a thing.

I keep meaning to strip my Ash1 Cg.

I have stripped my SS. It really is not hard.

Big "Bonus" on the CGFBM being polished underneath....I wish some of mine had come like that.... as you say .... you can just leave yours "as is" ....

Wow.... you don't know how many hours of hand sanding you have really missed ...you may be allowed into the "Strippers Club" .... but the real kudos is the "Hand Sanders Club".... I think I have about 8 hours invested in my first Busse ... a Skinny Ash .... my hands were so "numb" I nearly spilled my DRINK :foot::p:D

Glad you added "nearly" to spilling your drink (scotch, I suspect).

BTW great pup with the hat and blooper

No Infi dimples at all in your cgfbm thats a first for me. Looks pretty sweet stripped like that.

That is AWESOME Bro! I love to see em stripped. That's why I don't care about the satin/dc options. My INFI is always stripped and beaten now. I even managed to strip my ZT301. It took beadblasting though.

Just got in from the firepit. I swear the CGFBM chops and battons better nekkid. I put down the BWM two weeks ago and started using the CGFBM for everything and man what a difference battoning and chopping, this one is my Grail for sure.
There are no dimples at all on it either, just checked again.
The Meaner has always been my favorite EDC but after the strip it is at a new level of awesomeness, I cant stop checking it out.
I think the slabs on the CGFBM are G10 but not too sure, might be paper, they grip well in the hand but are not slippery like G10 so I still dont know for sure.
The stripper looks to have dried the slabs on the CGFBM a bit but after chopping and firepit mayhem....they are back to normal from my hand oils and Miller High Life.

Cheers!
