It will be the last total lunar eclipse until 2010. The easy-to-watch event will play out in several stages as Earth's shadow blocks sunlight from shining ...

Eclipse Info

Old Physics.... you have gone too far this time. :grumpy:

Guyon can't go a whole night without moon shine.;)

.

Since Skunk posted this, I was assuming he was just trying to lure people into watching him perform some kind of mooning activity:eek:

Life is full of surprises I guess:D

BTW thanks for the info Skunk

I am not worried about moonshine.

I *was* worried about opening any thread of Skunk's with "moon" in the title.

I have a perfect view Scott, I have no city lights to hinder the full eclipse........but it is -30 below outside ! I'll have to see if I can view from inside the house.

I'd prefer one of the wimmins vs. Skunk, but I thought that too.

What kind of ASH contest is that??

That is not even a fair fight. (with one party being more genetically gifted than the other...)

Oh, *that* time I could tell! :)

Left - Bad
Right - For the sake of trying to be a gentleman I'll say, NOT Bad! ;)

Thus, how the user name about whitewater kayaking became something associated with the fact that my right hand, in that pic, looks like it's preparing to swap a booty!

Hey Skink, forget the moon lets get back to the important stuff like Scotch, beer, womeins, stoogies oh and for Gods Sake INFI!!!!!!!!!!:grumpy:

When I saw Shunk was the thread starter coupled with the title I was scared to read this. And yet here I am. :D

We were out looking at the moon with my daughters telescope about 40 minutes ago. The shadow line was just starting across the face of the moon. We also got a nice look at Saturn, below the Moon and to the left. I am going back out after 10:00pm, when the eclipse is total. A little cold here, 15F, time for some hot coffee.

Somebody stole part of the moon! Give it back!

When I drove to work (I'm working in the middle east - no not in Irak) this morning I had a nice view of the eclipse! No problems with the cold here!

Saw it at various stages but temp has prevented me from dragging the telescope outside.

As much as I'd like to, it's just too damn cold out there!
