Well, not the whole fire but I was out of kindling and chose my first Busse for the task. I hadn't had her out all year. I know it's terrible but it's only because I'd been using all the other wonderful new knives I've been fortunate to get in the last year.

Of course she didn't disappoint. She was still sharp and looked as good as ever. It's nice to know you can use a knife and put it away without worrying about it rusting. She's great to me even when I don't take care of her.

My god what a beautiful beast... these just gotta make a come back... gaanza, O2W, something... let's have'em! Sweet blade man.

It's a great knife. I'd like to pick up one of the earlier thinner ones someday.

How thin we're they?
After stripping and light sanding I've got mine mic'd at

There may have been some confusion on my part,, I think he was talking about nmfbm,, not cg's
The thread title threw me off.
Either way I love my mistress,, she needs a good beating asap

I'm not sure. I was thinking I'd start a thread and learn some NMFBM history.

I know you know that the CGFBM and NMFBM are completely different knives; musta been a typo.

There were various thicknesses of the CG NMFBM and NMFBM LE. That is not unusual for Busse, as they have the original versions, followed by 'Ganza and Show variants in years to follow. The perfect example would be the Meaner Street and the Leaner Meaner Street, followed some years later by any number of variants and Show specials of different grinds and thicknesses that people weren't sure exactly what to call them.

It would be best practice for sellers to always be clear on the thickness of the blades that they sell, and for buyers to be wise enough to ask for that info if not provided.

No typo. First knife is a CGFBM and the second is a NMFBM.

My NMFBM is satin from the Custom Shop and I ordered it in early 2014 I believe. It's .270 thick. I know there are some earlier knives that are thinner and I'd like to get one.
