Tonight's Walking Dead

Not much with Daryl's (Team Gemini) knife tonight...just some distracted whittling. But on the WalkingDeadStorySync they posted some trivia about the knife:

I liked tonights episode. They did a great job building tension and topped it off with a terrific climax. Anyone who makes arrows with a TG awesome!

"flaying" is a sort of archaic word for skinning. Why do I know this? Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

In seriousness though, I cannot get enough of this show. I sit there with my two khukuri's (to comfort myself) and watch it so intently. I tried introducing it to my new girlfriend tonight, whose acceptance of my knife addiction is enough to make me not care that she considered it "a bit boring". Admittedly, tonight's episode wasn't the best to introduce a newbie with, however it was still awesome. I'm really beginning to wonder what direction this season is going, I suppose the Shane/Rick power struggle will probably be the climax.

Finally, is it just me or do they need a Daryl-esque character who carries a sword/khukuri? The latter really would be an excellent zombie killing tool, and despite the Team Gemini being awesome, I can't accept that the only other big blades are Bear Gryll's Gerbers.

edit: Someone at Busse should donate a Killa-Zilla or Gladius to the show. My brain would explode from the awesomeness.

The PhotoShopping they did with this one makes it almost look like the TG is double-edged.

What caused Rick to shoot them? I looked down to cut my toenails just seconds before I heard the gunshots. I thought Dave had put his gun on the counter and was holding a bottle of wine or something to show he didn't mean any harm and I missed the whole thing
