Tony’s Re-handled Farmer Golok.

Why the rehandle job? Too thick, too thin? Looks great whatever the reason. I've been looking for a nice Pacific Islander styled blade for a while. This might be the ticket.

Looks like a lot of fun. I'm surprised that you get that close to Tony while he swings large pieces of sharpened steel though.

Yep - its kind of true the analogy between sawing wood and catching Z's. Fast but kind about as much fun as sanding something.

Chopping is just a hoot. That is one awesome looking blade. Loved it the very first time I saw it!

I like it a lot. Been considering something like this for brush clearing on landscaping projects.

The handle was a lil too thin and the edges were to square for me. Plus the small tube pins it had looked unproportionate.

Besides the fact that I abused the hell out of it and popped a pin loose:o

So I had DJJ due it up with some thick micarta, red liners, and 3/8ths pins.

You could chop all day now. Its a killer blade with outstanding geometry.

David Farmer put a ridiculous sharp edge on it.

That is the Golok jr:thumbup: I love David's knives. He has 1 of the best convex I have used. His geometry is spot on. That handle you have coming sounds sweet, make sure you share some pics when it arrives.

The handles were done by DJJ (Forum name) He makes some great knives. I have handled a few of his and he likes thick rounded handles, so I immediatly thought of him when the time came to rehandle this. He also makes a kick ass leather sheath and always does a matching firesteel.
One of the best guys I have done business with here on the forums!

Nice knife, but next time use a saw. 10X easier. 10X faster. Much lighter to carry.
Nice knife.

Ya but not Quite as Fun or Near the Work Out ! Exercise Is good for the Heart, It also show's the Cutting/Chopping ability of a Well Made Super Sharp Golok !

That rehandle job looks great, love the micarta on that! Farmer makes some really cool 'big' blades. And it looks like that one has a hunger for wood. :)

Great stuff and thanks for the pics, guys.

Well done!! I am sure you broke a sweat there....but I can see the blade performed well!!! The re handle looks sweet:thumbup:

Great pics, and an awesome chopper!
