Tony Bose/Case Collaboration knives you want to see

Like a lot of y'all, I thought the TB/Case Tribal spear was a great collab knife to come out with this year. I have been thinking of what could be the next to come.

My number one hope is that they put out a Sowbelly. Yes, I know the Case TB6339 sowbelly has been in their production lineup for some time now and I used to have a 2003 TB6339 pocket worn peach seed jigged antique bone model that I foolishly gave away.

I mean, the tooling is there for this model already. All it needs is a bit more polish and love.

The high end version would just have a higher end steel like 154CM or ATS-34, a bit more aggressive swedges, a "standard" sowbelly pinned shield and some of that glorious antique peach seed jigged bone of late. I can dream of such a model, right?

What do y'all bet will be the next TB/Case collab knife?

could someone tell me more about the collab? did case make it with Bose's supervision or was a halp half?

like the tribal and the millennium trapper, hope to find one seems to be a limited run...

thanks

I have no idea what the next collaboration knife will be, but agree that a Stockman or Sowbelly would be nice.

As to the tooling already being in place, I don't think the Case/Bose collaboration knives are made the same way as their regular line. I thought I've read that Tony makes 2 completed versions of the knife. One's a finished knife to compare their final product to & the other can be taken apart for the picked team to analyze & turn into a semi-production piece.

Either way, I do agree that whatever they produce for next yr will be excellent. I just wish I had more of the Case/Bose collaborations, as they're the closest I'll probably come to getting a real Bose knife.

I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that. I probably should have just stated that they should have a template for the pattern as opposed to the tooling since this is more of semi-production as you mentioned with more manual work to it. Thanks Robb!

Of course, I'd love to see a "Stockman"...

...And since they've already done a classic with the "Dogleg", I'd really like to see a "Eureka Jack" make the lineup as well.

As long as we're dreaming, I want a two blade premium stock or sowbelly with one spring -- clip main with a sheepsfoot or wharncliffe secondary.

Pretty much already had that with the muskrat. Slim (muskrat) clip with wharncliffe blade on a single backspring and premium stock frame.

But, since I sent mine to OK, I wouldn't mind them considering another take on that theme

I guess from certain points of view maybe -- though I wouldn't really agree with that. Think deeper body, rounded bolsters, more serpentine, deeper clip blade, shorter wharncliffe/sheepsfoot, much less blade above the body of the knife when closed -- thinner also, since it wouldn't need nearly so wide a main spring (and only one catch bit, not two). Hey, a guy can dream.

Warncliffe trapper,Panama Trapper, Case Jack -I forget the pattern # but T&R Bose made them
Any of those would be great Stockman's & sowbellies would be great, but over the top for that type, the DE Cattle knife
Excellent thread Luciano

Split spring sounds great to me. So does a Eureka Jack. Whatever it will be, it will be something out of the everyday norm, I am betting, but not betting much, cause one day it might be a stockman. :D

My pleasure Vince! Maybe the man himself (the one that sent you that document about knife purses are girly) can bring up one of the popular choices if Case asks him about it some day. I'm just sayin'. ;)

Not a very good picture of this 100 year old NYK Eureka. Check those bolsters and swoopy clip and you can see how this could be a great collab.
