Too Big???

This is my July Bowie forged from 0-1 tool steel. It has 304 stainless fittings and the wood is from a local walnut tree. Its about .312 (5/16ths) thick and has a nice distal taper. Thanks for looking----Eric Barnes

Not too big for me....all depends on the balance. I've had one of these:

Same length as yours - very nicely balanced.

The distal taper ought to help out.
 
It's got great lines, even without the tape measure I'd say it's a proportional, well made Bowie... how's it balance and feel in your hand? I have a Cherokee Rose (like Dan's) as well, a knife that big can be useful in the woods :D
