Tell me if I am wasting my time doing a Blued finish on a knife...
This is a new Ringfighter I just finished and couldn't decide so I Bued it.
6 1/4" blade with edge quenched 1/4" O1, 11 3/4" OAL Dark streaked Cocobolo with NS pins.
Yes there are some marks on this blade. I had covered the blade with tape and didn't catch it untill I had already stuck the handle slabs on.
looks like this one is coming back apart.

Robert no I would not just my 2 cents
Have you thought about useing Gun Kote
I have not try it yet but planing to

I like it. My only concern would be how scratch resistant it is. Looks good though!

I like the look. Is it hot blued or cold blued? If cold, please let us know how durable the finish is. Have you thought about parkerizing? Ilike that finish with micarta or G10 slabs.

That's a great knife! Personally, I like the blued finish. I would like to see more knives with blued, or at least partially blued, finishes.

This one is a Cold Super Blue finish. I expect as durable as a gun finish might be. Would touch up in 30secs!

Nice design. You might even consider a different type of patina on a scrap piece. try the sliced lime, gives a different patina.--Dan
