The chinese are making better fakes by the day, everyone needs to be positive that they are buying the real thing.

The few big differences that I saw was the lanyard pin, torx screws instead of allen heads, and the thumb stud appears to be taller as well.

It annoys me they put that huge copyright watermark so others can't copy the image when they are the one copying someone's product without permission.

People need to stop buying these replicas because all their doing is encouraging these Chinese Manufacturers to keep pumping them out.
When people say they only want to get it because they want to see what a sebenza is like before they buy it arene't helping the cause.
No more Sanrenmus 710 or any model that is a blantant ripoff of a design. I see Sanrenmu now has a Hinderer look a like. Its rediculous.

From what I can tell it's the very same companies making these that the US knife companies use in China. They have just been handed the know how and have no problems flexing it.

It's also worth mentioning that anyone that's familour with a real Sebenza will not be fooled by any of the fakes I've seen so far. I'm sure I have seen that very knife here in Taiwan at the usual night market stalls. It looks better in the pictures than it does in the hand. That doesn't mean we should sit back and laught at their attempts, we need to make sure new comers don't get fooled. We as CRK owners and enthusiasts really have little to worry about as far as being duped though IMO......It makes the whole thing no less disgusting in my mind, but living off someone elses back is a way of life in China and here in Taiwan. As a business owner I see it every day. :thumbdn:

If they would put some of that energy and skill making those fakes into making a good knife of their own brand, they could market well made knives to the US.

Very good point. But I guess it`s just easier to "copy" a successful product, than coming up with one yourself. Bastards.

It doesn't make what they're doing okay, but these guys are surely not stealing any customers from CRK. I couldn't imagine anyone seriously considering buying a Sebenza getting one of these pieces of junk instead.

You would be surprised how many people out there are fooled by knockoffs. I doubt anyone here in the CRK forum would even
look twice at that thing but for the CRK newbies that knife looks pretty close to the real deal.

After watching the video I am impressed. It is scary how brazenly they are ripping off the Sebenza though.
Does any one know who makes this knife? Is it one of the factories that makes knives for Spyderco, Kershaw, Benchmade?

woah! impressive and very very very scary!
what is amazing is it looks well made, probably not as good a s a CRK of course but it seems very impressive

a couple quick links, looks at the second one! in the pics it looks very well made, only have an ummi so I'm no way an expert but it's hard to tell it's a damn fake, looks to be made in both satin and stonewash
looks at the 6th pic of the 2nd link, are those oringinal and copy together or 2 fakes together?

hope Chris can do something

Those are two fakes in that picture.

This is what i posted on the youtube link/video:

"If you're interested in a Chris Reeve Sebenza... BE CAREFUL... these are fakes....ONLY buy from AUTHORIZED dealers!!!"

This makes me so PISSED!!

Also, when a thread comes up about "chinese made knives", it also pisses me off that the mods threaten to close the thread within the first few posts if it gets too much "bash china". I think the knife community should put pressure on companys who outsource their business to china...ie Spyderco for example. Setting them up to produce quality knives also sets them up to produce really good fakes and copies. Eventually it will get out of control, and our hobby will be watered down with bullshit knock offs!

$92.00 for a sebenza knock off, red moon rising. China has beat us at our own game, go to the chinaknifes.com website and you'll be pissed beyond belief. Were screwed.

Too bad they can't even get their website name right.
