This is the actual text from a WTB post here. I've not included the users name to protect the guilty. I will say one thing, this fella has big balls......

" " i'm looking to buy a busse steel heart2 in the old combat line or an ergo steel heart. only looking to pay between $300-$400.brand new condition and used in excellent to very good condition prefered. also looking for a pauls hatchet.not looking to pay more than $200 and same condition as above. " "

(I sure hope I don't get a demerit for posting this, but I just couldn't resist).....

That's AWESOME.

That's worse than me posting a WTB NMFBM user for 500 which I thought was pushing it.

Good for him.

my buddy bought one for under $400 at the Indy show a few weeks back :barf::barf:. Dont worry, I feel your struggle man. Before I discovered Busse, I refused to pay over $200 for ANYTHING. Now I feel cheap for be willing to only fork out $500 myself for an NMFBM :(

Under 400?!!! Wow, i'd jump on that fast. I'm happy though, I got what I was looking for.

When you enter into the whole Busse world, you know you're paying absolutely ludicrous prices in the secondary market because of the way the knives are marketed. The BWM is a good price as far as im concerned, once it hits the secondary market it'll be ridiculous. It's just something you start to accept.

Now ya see why I post about the shows....

Lotta good bargains.... So...get a proxy if you can't make it in person....

To the OP, that post is very optimistic, but now and then, some vintage blades show up at vintage prices...

We have a lot of really, really good hearted folks around here, and hoping to score at a reasonable price isn't out of the question. I haven't paid more than a few $ over original prices for any of my INFI. I have marked up a few out of necessity, but would be happy to help the potential buyer out if I were in the position. I wish him the best.

Yea, some have gone up in price from when they were still offered but it's a hunt to find something old at a great price. But sometimes, it's impossible to find some things at certain prices. I'd be happy to find the knife I want not even sure what it would go for, I'm still looking for a Meaner Street LE.... I'm willing to pay double the original price...

It's all about perseverance...
Yes, some I paid an arm and leg for, but most.....well a BIG THANK YOU to a few Hogs!

The SH-E at the Easton show, direct from Busse, cost more than the WTB poster is willing to pay  :D

We'll, I'm looking for an original SH-1, but I doubt anyone is going to offer it to me for original cost. I doubt I could get one for any less than 800-1000.

I guess I should post up and see what happens anyway, seeing as so many of the HOG's feel so generous. :foot:   ;) :D
