Too Many Knives, Not Enough Money!

I think I finally can admit that I may have a problem. So I'm sure I'm not alone here, but how many of you just find yourself looking and lusting over just too many knives. I mean, to the point where ALL you can think about is all the knives you could buy if only you had endless funds. I constantly find myself checking my regular (blade) dealer, seeing what's new and looking at all the knives. Problem is, there are so many great blades it's impossible to make a decision. What do I buy next? The Spyderco Yojimbo 2, Spyderco Military, Hinderer XM-18, CRK Umnumzaan, Strider SMF DGG, ZT 0562CF, ZT0392, Benchmade 757 Vicar, Emerson CQC7, Busse TGLB, ESEE 4, ZT0100? It seems never ending! Oh please fellow forumites, tell what I should do! I fear that I may spend all my resources on blades...and still not be satisfied when a maker releases a new model.

OH, and let's not forget the customs! Woe is me!

An thats just the knives I want. Applying for my CCW, and then I'll need to buy a small pistol to carry, everything I have is too big. I'm gonna be broke.

Consider this: get your finances in order, and get out of debt; plan for retirement; take financial care of your spouse, your kids, your parents and your church buddies. Tithe or give to charity. And after that, recognize that in 5 years or 55 years you are going to be worm food. So buy some knives while the sun shines.

Just bought a ZT0770CF. Bout 5 minutes ago.

No. Looking at the knife list on your post, and some of the others, it should be spelled "whoa"!!!!!!

K.O.D. here's what I have so far:

Cold Steel AK-47 in aluminium
Benchmade 580 Barrage
Spyderco Paramilitary 2
Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 21
Zero Tolerance 0300
Zero Tolerance 0560BW
Strider SMF Lego in CPM-154
Microtech Socom Delta (Aluminium in ATS-34)
And a Buck 119

Small I know, but it is growing steadily. My next big purchase will hopefully be a Hinderer XM-18 3.5" Slicer Grind in Duratech 20CV (I can dream can't I).

Oh please, ALL of us do that. So what else is new.

Of course some of us also lust after Cameras, or Wristwatches, or many other things.

Your preaching to the choir brother, your preaching to the choir.

My habit is dreaming of winning the lottery and thinking of how I am going to design my knife shop and what would I sell.

I want American made brands only under glass with dark wood cabinets. I want a pool table in the corner so during slow periods me and my employees can play pool and I want a soda fountain machine so I can make Dr. Peppers with crushed ice all day with out having to go to Sonic. I then want a round table in the corner so me and my friends can play poker on Friday night after the place close.

Now if any of you guys already have this please call me and let me know so I can come play pool and drink Dr. Peppers. By the way. Poker night is change that is in your pocket only. Your allowed to use bills and sign over your paycheck but that is only for guys who do not have kids and a family. All winning proceeds go to the Church on Sunday.

Can I have some of that?

I thought about my knife purchases since April of this year, I think I spent over 12k in knives!! I have bought, sold and traded anything from a lowly Cryo to a Direware SOLO v4. Now I am selling off most of them and just keeping a special few I really like.

Current collection status

Zt 0770 cf

Buck pro Lux

Gavko micro hatchet

Syderco tenacious

Spyderco tusk

And I must have more looking for a benchmade 940-1 and a full black pm2

As long as you can buy gas, feed your family and keep your lights on.... KEEP BUYING! I have bought so many knives in the past 20 years that I have them in totes still in the boxes....

The only knives really left on my list are bm 810 and 630, lionsteel sr1(haven't decided on which), and an umnumzaan.

The title definitely rings true with me, every time I get to the bottom of my list, I find another knife I like
Right now I have three knives on order and I'm already looking for the next one.
That said, I only buy knives with the money from my "fun" budget, everything else is paid before that
