too much noise and vibration

I have one of those cheap 8 inch bench grinders that i bought at a tent sale. no matter what I bolt it too, it seems to vibrate like hell and make too much noise. i also tried to mount it with rubber mountings and that doesn't seem to help either. I can't work at night with the thing because it would probably wake up the neighbors.

do i need to purchase another grinder? or can you suggest something very stable to bolt it on to? do i need to use a smaller wheel? i could probably adapt some of these 6 inch wheels of mine to go on it.

please let me know.

Get a stone dressing tool and make a pretty heavy cut on both wheels. Sounds like they aren't round.( not hard to do, or expensive)
If they're worn down already, or you would rather try better wheels, they have a pretty good selection of them at www.woodcraft.com . You could also just get a new set of plain old gray wheels at the hardware store for cheap. You'll definitely want to get the dressing tool eventually though. Even brand new wheels aren't always balanced.
