Too much recurve for KME?

You can do it... just use a light touch, and you may have to rotate the stone slightly so the edge of the stone makes contact in the area of the recurve. Also, don't move the stone perpendicular to the edge... work it thru the recurve as you make the stroke... in other words, as you move it up, also go across, otherwise you can dig the edge of the stone into the blade. (Clear as mud?)

But it'll work. Go slow initially, and check your progress often (mark with a Sharpie if needed) and you'll see how it contacts thru the recurve, so you can adjust as necessary.

Yeah, I think I get what you're saying. I do sort of the same thing when I try to align scratch patterns so I can do that the whole time instead of just at the end of each stone. Thanks!

Nice job Jason I was afraid to try that with my Blur so I broke down and got the jewel stick. Worth the money IMO.
