Too Much?

So I was shopping for a belt knife a few months ago because my wife had put some of my supplies in a donate pile, and I lost my old KA-Bar I had had since I was a boy scout long ago. It was at the time I started to really look at quality and steel, and get an idea of what I great modern knife was.

That was January.

I Have bought 3 Ganza Knifes (B8, SWATmandu, HACK) A Ratmandu and a Rodent 6 so far this year. I have like 83 other knives I'd really like to get.

- Pork Shank
- ASH-1
- AK-47
- Gladius
- Ratweiler
- Killa Zilla II
- Sus Scrofa
- ect..

How much is too much? So many incredible knives. How do I prioritize!?!?

Prioritize in order of which model would be most useful if the zombie apocalypse happened tomorrow. Which one would you need the most?!!! That's how I'd do it at least!!

Which one is the most unreasonable and expensive? Get that first and then gradually step down from there lol.

Only Busse I don't presently have that I would like to get is the Glad, but it pure novelty value. I have 'ahem a "few" from each of the family tree and in reality could go the rest of my life and never ever need to buy another knife for ANY reason. But where is the fun in that... ;) ;) The knives I buy now are just because I like them and I can... who needs more than one ASH1.... but you know I am going to buy "another" at some point.... ;)

From your list, do you have a big chopper yet?
Grab an NMFSH or an NMFBM or an ASHBM. Or a 1311, 1111, Basic-10, or Chopweiler if you can find one.

I keep the fun stuff (AK, Butaniku, Gladius, Waki) on the opportunity buy list.
I usually "Fill in" where I don't have a blade size or shape yet as they pop up on the sites or in Gaanzaa's.

Yup, get a large chopper (Buse & kin have got great ones) and a smaller "utility" knife, and you're covered. Those 2 and a small saw and you've got all your outdoors needs.... Well... Almost;)

We are all similarly afflicted. No Bussekins for six weeks, then three in the past six days. Including...one more ASH1...;-)

then comes the part where you decide all the handles have to match.

The handle and coating selection gets crazy, there are so many options. Generally I try to match a larger knife with a smaller companion size to complement each other as a set. If I'm lucky I get a medium size match to fit in. Doing this with a few of my favorite finish combinations gives me some variety while sticking to a vague theme.

You guys are great, thanks for just chatting about it!

I need more INFI. I don't prefer the coated blades. I need a chopper, you guys are right. After extensive research, I need to get an ASH-1, Killa Zilla, and SAR 3. and then I can start really going of the wall.
