Larry; I just spent some time on the web site looking for info on LTD knives. redshanks was telling me about a neat dog leg trapper with smooth red bone and serrated spay blade that he was able to obtain and I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and I got one also off eBay. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info one the LTD stuff. This one is tang marked Schrade+ over USA LTD and it is the same frame as the 285UH, and with that I've already told you more than I know. It would be neat to know how many there were and the time frame of production. Redshanks said they were not real plentiful and considering I'd never even heard of it I sure guess he's right. If you know any more , please fill me in. Thanks.

Paul sent me this photo of his new trapper; beautiful bone:

I agree. It's too quiet on here today. Spring break starts here today so there may be some of us gone. I will be will be gone a day or two, myself.

I just got a couple new catalogs from Ron (relodr36) in the mail today, 1982 & 1983 shortlines, plus some other stuff on displays that Schrade offered their dealers. He also sent me an article on some of the limited-edition knives, and some info on the 3rd Generation series. Thank you Ron!
I am updating my spreadsheet so I can post the new listing to the sticky thread. I have also been going through other catalogs to try and make a list of the tradesman knives and tools that more offered. I had not done that to this point, concentrating mainly on the Old Timer and Uncle Henry series with some of the newer stuff as well. I had pretty much ignored the Irish stuff.

There have been a couple of threads this week asking about some of the Tradesman knives so I thought I would complete that list as well. I also found a lot more Open Stock knives to add to the list and have been toying with the idea of listing the limited-edition knives as they appear in the catalogs I have. That should keep me busy for the rest of the year. :D

Maybe if I do a good job Larry will post them on the collectors-of-schrades-r.us web site.

For those of you who are leaving on spring break....... have a nice vacation!

For the rest of us, have a good weekend!

Dale

PS- Nice knife Redshanks! Do you have a model number for it?

Dale, that's Paul's knife. There is no model # stamped on it, just SCHRADE LTD. Does it appear in the new info on limited editions that you spoke of?

Arnold; YES I got your email and I thank you kindly for the info. They are sold out of the 112's but I'll keep checking back. That's a neat site. thanks again.

I haven't seen it before. Do you have any idea when it was made? That might help me narrow the search.

Dale

Dale, I bought the same knife from a different seller than Paul and these are the only examples that I've seen with the serrated blade. If I had to guess, I'd say it's most likely recent manufacture.

Maybe LT will find this thread and shed a little of his light on the subject. I'd bet he's seen it before and I'd also bet he's got one or more in his collection.
