Bill, That looks PERFECT! It's...it's just beautiful!

Grateful for your service,

Todd

Todd, if this is your first BA custom, pay special attention to the words "scary sharp" in his opening post . . . . he's not kidding . . . .
Excellent color match of the scales, sheath, and damascus BA, gorgeous.
Todd, enjoy buddy, and when you are standing there the first time trying to force that knife into that wood, don't worry, we all have experienced that hesitation and moment of your eyes tearing up . . . . ;)
But don't worry, it will survive . . . .
Be safe.

WOW !! I protest; Bill never made me anything like that. Gonna have to talk to that man. Toddles; you're going to love your new knife. You'll be back for more!!!

Not my first; I have one of BA's nessy's in twist damascus. I had this made because it's the style I like for something small and handy in the kitchen.

As far as the scales go, I picked that block of redwood out from Mark at Burlsource because I liked the grain pattern and mailed it to BA when I had the funds to have him build something out of it.

Beyond that, I just gave Bill an idea of what I wanted and he free-formed it for me.

It came out PERFECT!

Really nice. Congrats Toddles. Photos expected when you get it. ;)

She's here!

Out of all my handmade knives, this is honestly the most comfortable in the hand to me. I can't find the cable for the camera, so iphone it is.

THIS is why I like the handle ground this way. I just rests so comfortably and neutrally in the hand; handy when you're carving up some food.

I felt like having an orange.

Rinse, dry, hit the strop (which Bill so generiously provided to me also. God bless that man.) quick, and finally rub a light coat of veggy oil on it. Ready to make me some breakfast in the morning.

Bill, you did BEAUTIFUL work on this one. I truly appreciate you finding the time to make this request for me. I hope and pray your surgery goes great tomorrow!

-Todd
