I love my ZDP-189 Delica. It is one of my hardest running and most-frequently-carried knives. Hell of a workhorse.

So, I saw a Mule in ZDP-189 come up and, not having a lot of experience with the Mules, decided to give it a try. It is on its way to me now. I searched up any reviews or thoughts on this particular Mule and the only major report on it is that it's a bad batch. The review (which is posted here) tests it out without any problems, but notes that there is a claimed flaw in the structure of the metal.

Is this truly the case? Anyone else using one and had a failure?

Thanks!

Thank you Rycen. Good to find the official word.

Any real/personal experiences floating around? Or was it such a small run that it is a non-issue?

I never had any problems with mine, but I never put scales on them, either. I just wrapped the handle with paracord and used it. It performed as ZDP-189 generally does. Personally, I like K390 better.
