I had noticed quite a few people from Russia posting on Bladeforums, most often in the exchange looking for knives to buy. Well, I got curious, and looked into it and saw they have a rather large forum for Russians interested in guns, knives, gadgets, etc. Well I decided to register, although that in itself was a hard task as their entire website is in Russian.
Well, thankfully Google Chrome has a feature that will translate an entire webpage, so I managed to register. I made a thread, attempting to communicate with one of those cheesy online translators that really sucks. Even though our countries haven't had the best relationship, they were very respectful, and were more than willing to help me communicate and talk about knives and guns. I checked out their EDC threads going on, and was surprised to see an almost mirror image of the EDC threads here on Bladeforums. They're huge fans of CRK, Strider, Benchmade, Maxpedition, and many more popular American bands. That's really saying something about the quality of our products as I'm sure they're much more expensive to get over there.
All in all, it has been a really cool experience. I'll try to keep up with the thread I started there for the next couple weeks.
