But I finally talked myself into a CRK. I think it was the Insingo's blade shape that pushed me over the edge. The knife is great. Unfortunatly during shipping(secondary market)the break down tool was left loose in the box and tore the finish on the ti all up.
So I refinished the ti and I'm about to take it back apart and blue it a little. Took some before pics and thought id post'em. Didn't think to get pics of the scratched up blasted finish before I cleaned it up, anyway pics.

While it's a shame that it arrived all scratched up, it sure ended up looking good in the end. Nice work!

did you heat color or anodize? either way that looks awesome!!!

Mapp gas torch. It .puts out a lot of heat and works well. These pics are from right after I finished. The colors will blend a bit as the night goes on. I'll take shots in natural light if there's interest.

That looks great - question - any chance that the heat treatment of the titanium is affected?

Ti doesn't require any sort of heat treament. Its slice and screw on, if it did, then yes. I get the ti red hot. Burn your name in the side of a cow hot.

awesome looking! did you use scotchbrite on the ti?

I have in the past. I have a piece of "lucky" wet/dry sandpaper I've been using long past its normal life span. It just keeps doing the job and I don't question how.
